Job Description :
The Certified Nurse Assistant (C.N.A) plays a vital role in implementing the resident/patient care plan by assisting with activities of daily living, education, recreation, and transportation in alignment with established nursing department policies, procedures, and standards. This position reports directly to the RN/LPN team leader and upholds resident/patient privacy, confidentiality, and rights while delivering high-quality, compassionate care.Education Requirements
  • Must hold an active Maine C.N.A license.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist residents/patients with daily living activities, including feeding, bathing, ambulating, personal care, and skin care.
  • Take and report initial vital signs and weights promptly to the nursing staff.
  • Monitor and record intake/output and report significant changes to the supervisor.
  • Ensure compliance with Universal Precautions and infection control procedures.
  • Maintain resident/patient confidentiality and uphold their rights.
  • Support resident/patient orientation to the unit, facility, and services.
  • Assist in the implementation of care plans as directed by the RN/LPN.
  • Recognize and respond to changes in resident/patient conditions.
