CNC Field Service TechnicianJob Responsibilities:The CNC Field Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and maintaining CNC machine tools and controls. This role requires expertise in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to resolve issues with mechanical and electrical components. Key responsibilities include:
- Traveling to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machine tool equipment and controls.
- Utilizing technical documents, machine tool manuals, and vendor resources to research and resolve machine issues.
- Completing and submitting documentation regarding the status of machine issues, repairs, and installations.
- Performing preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment and providing after-sales support and training.
- Maintaining in-depth knowledge of CNC machine tool products and industry trends.
- Other duties as assigned based on business needs.
Job Competencies/Qualifications:- 5+ years of experience with mechanical and electrical repair of CNC machine tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other necessary business programs.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong technical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Flexibility in working hours, including overtime and occasional weekends.
- Frequent travel within a regional territory is required.
- Must meet the physical requirements of the job, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance and remain focused while managing multiple tasks.
