Salary: $30-$40 per hour (based on experience) Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, $50k life insurance policy (employer-paid), 401k w/ 4% match, sick pay, vacation time, & holiday pay Job Summary: Our client is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision machined parts. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and expertise in programming, operating, and maintaining CNC mills and lathes. Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan machining processes by studying work orders, blueprints, and material stock.
  • Program mills and lathes by inputting instructions, including zero and reference points, and offsets.
  • Calculate requirements using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; verify part programs.
  • Set up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting chucks, tools, collets, and other necessary components.
  • Load materials into the machines.
  • Verify settings by measuring positions and inspecting first-run parts and sample pieces.
  • Maintain specifications by monitoring cutting, drilling, grooving, turning, facing, knurling, and threading operations.
  • Troubleshoot processes, adjust and reprogram controls, and replace worn tools as needed.
  • Follow quality assurance procedures and processes.
  • Address preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshoot malfunctions, and request repairs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in programming or operating CNC mills or lathes.
  • Technical school or training related to CNC machines.
  • Proficiency in G and M code programming.
  • Detail-oriented with strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform tooling setup.
