Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC equipment as necessary to produce the required number of conforming parts in a timely manner according to process documentation. This will include operating multiple pieces of CNC equipment simultaneously.
  • The ability to correctly setup jobs in assigned equipment in a timely manner is a plus, but not required.
  • Perform first piece, in-process and last piece inspection using micrometers, calipers, comparators, various gauges and CMM equipment according to process documentation.
  • Perform data collection and communication tasks as directed in our eOVL.
  • Perform operator maintenance (TPM).
  • Diagnose and correct equipment or tool issues.
  • Perform deburr or rework of work in-process.
  • Make recommendations to optimize and improve assigned processes.
  • Maintain workstation to 5S standards.
  • Perform all work according to Company safety standards.
This is intended to give an overview of the position and is not an exhaustive list. Other duties may be assigned.Requirements
  • Ability to use common measuring equipment, optical comparators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
  • Solid track record of employment success. Successful work experience operating CNC-controlled equipment to produce precision-machined metal parts, and setup experience is a plus.
  • Collaboration and communication skills related to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
  • Experience with reading blueprints to GD&T standards.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to perform basic shop math functions.
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Eligibility to work with sensitive controlled data and materials according to customer policies and practices.
  • Must be able to regularly lift up to 10 pounds. Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time in manufacturing environment. Twist, kneel, bend.
Education and/or Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
