CNC Machinist - Sydor Optics : Job Details

Please view our company video for more information about Sydor Optics at www.sydor.com.Position DescriptionThe CNC Machinist is responsible for set-up and operation of HAAS and Fanuc CNC mills.Qualifications:Education/Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent.Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:* Prior experience as a CNC Machinist/CNC Machine Set-up person.* Ability to work in a team environment.* Experience with HAAS Machines/Fanuc Robodrill, a plus.* Optical experience, a plusEssential Functions* Set-up and operate HAAS and Fanuc CNC mills/Techno Router.* Review and interpret blueprints (GDT preferred).* Run a manual mill and lathe for fixturing/engineering support.* Handling, waxing, fixturing, machining and cleaning glass materials.* Monitor machines/parts adjusting offsets as determined by programmers.* Perform measurements and conduct quality checks on in-process/completed parts.* Use Calipers, Micrometers, Vision System, etc. to verify work.* Perform routine machine/coolant maintenance.* Maintain cleanliness of area/tools.* Participate in 5S and lean manufacturing practices.* Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
