Job Location: 6125 East 21st Street Indianapolis IN 46219
Position Type: Contract 9 Months with possible extension
Pay Rate $25/hour with Benefits
2nd shift position.- 2:30pm-11pm Monday-Friday
Employees will need to train on the 1st shift for 1 month prior to moving to the 2nd shift.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Requirements:
- Must be able to interpret prints, drawings, process routings, and specifications.
- Must have experience scuffing and/or blending coatings in preparation for topcoats.
- Must possess thorough knowledge of the various types of metals for appropriate tool selection and to properly identify reactions to buffering and polishing operations.
- Must have general knowledge of masking techniques.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Confidential Security Clearance.
- Special PPE (Personal Protective Equipment such as safety glasses, etc), provided by the company, is required for this position.

- Deburrs fabricated parts with hand and power tools.
- May removes excess metal and surface defects fabricated parts and assemblies prior to plating and painting using abrasive wheels and other power and hand tools, -Selects abrasive belt or wheel according to grain size, type of finish specified, product being polished, or amount of metal to be removed, using knowledge of polishing operations and abrasives.
- Examines parts for acceptability of finish, ensuring assemblies meets documentation and engineering drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Must demonstrate competencies necessary to meet business requirements. May perform as a member or leader of a functional and/or cross- functional team.
- Display the ability to set up, edit programs and operate multiple 3, 4 or 5 Axis CNC Machines with multiple controller combinations, simultaneously when applicable, with minimal guidance or training.
- Set up and operate various manual machines including vertical and horizontal mills, manual lathes, grinders, jig bores and drill presses with minimal guidance or training.
- Assemble and repair various parts, mechanisms, tools, mechanical assembles, sub-assemblies or machines, applying advanced knowledge of machining practices, mechanics, shop mathematics and metal properties.
- Interpret required documentation such as blueprints, sketches, specifications, NC programs, detailed routings and capable of following detailed instructions either written or oral.
