Ridge Engineering is looking for experienced CNC machinists able to work with minimum supervision and able work from verbal instructions or detailed drawings in a job shop environment. Must be able to work with close tolerance dimensions, inspect parts produced, setup and optimize for efficient production of parts. Experience with aerospace parts a plus.Ridge Engineering LLC., is a Hampstead, Maryland job shop specializing in the machining of complex and detailed parts for the defense and aerospace, sectors.We have been in business for over 50 years and have enjoyed steady success during that time. This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R.We have one of the safest, cleanest and healthiest work environments in our industry.Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
  • Operation and Control - Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
  • Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, work processes/products, or the organization, to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Speaking - Talking to others to convey information effectively.
Experience and Education: High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) or Trade School Graduate, preferred. Must have seven years as a fabricator capable of producing/modifying close tolerance precision machined parts and assemblies. Must be capable of using tools, machines, measuring equipment and precision instruments to produce finished work from using blueprints and specifications. Must possess strong math skills, ability to read & interpret drawings and parts lists, have excellent analytical skills with the ability to pay attention to details. Must possess a working knowledge of various metal types and applications.
