Job Description: CNC Operator

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years operating CNC machines.

• Basic math/algebra skills.

• Knowledge with CAD/CAM and/or a desire to learn/learn more is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• To take CNC programs, load the machines with the proper tools and steel, and run the programs.

• Being that the machining to be done is for rubber molds, they will almost all be one-off jobs, and with very loose tolerances (+-.01 will generally be acceptable).

• Have a desire for growth. We will eventually be moving to production as well, and will need someone to head this department, with CNC operators working underneath them.

• Input data (ie. time it takes to make mold, etc.) for quoting/statistical purposes.

Day-to-day

• Will be working with owner (who is currently doing the machining now) to learn the current process of how the machining is done. This will be your only boss/supervisor.
• Hours can be flexible, more so as time goes on, and you know what you're doing.
• The more skill either brought to the table, or acquired, will be reflected in compensation.
