Division Description
Cosma Castings Michigan (CCMI)- a division of Magna International- is located in Battle Creek, Michigan. We are a casting and assembly facility that manufactures automotive body components for GM, Ford, FCA, Honda, and other aftermarket customers. We operate a 300,000-square-foot facility with approximately 500 employees. Summary of Responsibilities
CNC Set Up Techs program and troubleshoot CNC equipment to produce precision metal parts. CNC Set Up Techs set up machines, write and test programs, make adjustments as needed, and are responsible for the quality of the product produced by the CNC Machines. CNC Set Up Techs must be strong multi-taskers who can work through assigned priorities while responding to emergency calls to resolve issues. Employees must be able to work overtime and weekends, as needed.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Certificate or minimum 4 years' experience required
Previous experience in operation of machining and assembly equipment a plus
Knowledge and experience with setting up and maintaining CNC machines.
Knowledge and experience with Siemens controls
Knowledge and experience with Fanuc robots
Basic electrical skills
Basic knowledge of hydraulics systems
Ability to read Siemens operator panels to run equipment and troubleshoot as needed.
Ability to work flexible hours and overtime to be available to all shifts
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to use standard hand and measuring tools
Ability to follow and understand written instructions
Ability to read layout data, gauges and dedicated measuring equipment
