Job Description: As a CNC Specialist in the Manufacturing setting, your job duties include programming the CNC machine to ensure optimal functionality, maintaining the CNC machine itself, and evaluating the need for additional CNC machine capabilities. Key Skills:Intermediate knowledge of precision measuring instruments including but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators and scalesIntermediate knowledge of reading drawings and specifications within intermediate understanding of geometric tolerances and dimensionsIntermediate knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts, and other accessories used on various machine Who we are looking for:Adapts to changing work environment and competing demandsAbility to handle frequent change, delays or unexpected eventsBasic math skills, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for purpose of calculating material fabricationDemonstrates knowledge of G and M code programmingDemonstrates knowledge of Renishaw probe programming, set up and useAbility to take verbal and written instructions from handmade sketchesFollows all safety policies and proceduresPunctual - arrives to meetings and all other work-related functions as scheduled on-timeProfessional - interact with organizational team members and other departments in a professional manner Responsibilities:Develop processes for programing parts, loading parts, operating controls, setting offsets, edits, deburring and inspection of parts for quality purposesStudy and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operation and setup requirementsDetect equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine as required to ensure quality productionCommunicate with supervisor, engineers, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issuesResponsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventive maintenance functions on equipmentCNC Specialist must be able to stay focused on their work and on their surroundings for long periods for safety, quality, and productivity reasonsMay perform other duties as assigned by supervisorLight duty lifting may be required (up to 35 pounds) and using a hoist for heavy lifting to cut metal and install and remove tooling and work pieces from the machineSimple grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling, finger dexterity, foot movement, bending, squatting, twisting, and reaching are all required at times Before you begin your application, please click 'Link' to take a short assessment ( Link ).
