This position is ideal for a highly motivated individual who can independently operate and maintain CNC machines, manage production tasks, and collaborate with assemblers to ensure workflow efficiency.Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, set up, and maintain CNC machines independently during 2nd shift.
- Collaborate with two assemblers to coordinate workflow and ensure smooth production.
- Monitor and inspect parts to meet quality and production standards.
- Adjust CNC programs, tooling, and machine settings as needed to optimize efficiency.
- Identify and troubleshoot machining issues, tool wear, and process inefficiencies.
- Maintain accurate production logs and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with 1st shift supervisors, engineers, and maintenance teams regarding any production or machine issues.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or CNC coursework preferred.
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience, including setup and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently and manage production without direct supervision.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machine operation, tooling, and basic programming adjustments.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Experience working alongside assembly teams in a production environment.
- Skilled in using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) for quality assurance.
- Ability to multitask, troubleshoot, and ensure quality standards are met.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Willingness to work 2nd shift hours and take ownership of production responsibilities.
