Job Description Support the execution of all life stages of the contract lifecycle management. Work closely with category management teams and legal teams to update contract templates, clause library, support effective negotiation and oversee all activities post-signature. Lead a team to manage contract compliance on an on-going basis to ensure savings realization to Kroger. Demonstrate the company s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Responsibilities - Contract Management - Provide guidance and support business partners and category management teams on contract lifecycle management - Lead continuous improvement initiatives within contract management and oversee all activities post-signature - Introduce new contract management processes and technologies to drive a culture of decision-making based on analysis and procurement leading practices - Collaborate with legal to develop or update contract templates and clause library including standard T&Cs, SLAs, governance, etc - Coordinate inclusions, reviews and monitoring of contract activities with contract management analyst - Oversee resolution of contract discrepancies with suppliers and affected functions - Compliance Management - Strive to reduce overall risk for Kroger through the management of contract compliance - Review contract compliance and management plan, and drive adherence and adoption of contract management leading practices - Monitor non-compliances situations and timely escalate lack of adherence to involved parties - Coordinate with governance and benefits leader to perform annual or more frequent analysis of Kroger s overall contract usage and spend under contract - Work with internal Audit group to perform 3rd party pricing audit - Talent Management - Create an effective work environment by developing a common vision, communicating of clear objectives, fostering teamwork, recognizing performance, providing on the job coaching - Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties: complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports - Additional Support - Maintain knowledge of other initiatives in Kroger that may affect the CoE performance and operations and collaborate with necessary stakeholders and suppliers - Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation Qualifications Minimum - Bachelor's Degree Business Management, Legal, Supply Chain, Operations, Retail, CPG, or similar - 2+ years exposure to writing, drafting, or negotiating contracts, and proven experience with Contract Management and/or Risk Management - 3+ years leadership/management experience in a procurement organization, clearly exposed to strategic program/project management of large complex organizations - Proven experience with Contract Management, Risk Management and Negotiation skills - Ability to synthesize analysis into compelling oral and written communications and presentations - Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Vizio) - Ability to build impactful relationship with internal clients, key influencers to effectively execute work Desired - Master's Degree - 3+ years professional experience with Legal or Paralegal - 5+ years professional experience in Supply Chain Management
