Coil Bay Attendant - All Weather Insulated Panels : Job Details

Position SummaryMaintain Steel Coil inventory, ensuring accuracy of inventory log, timely delivery of material to roll-forming, and safely offloading inbound loads.Essential Functions

• Receive, verify accurate product details, and log all stock and special-order product. Place in appropriate space.
• Maintain inventory log on an ongoing basis.
• Deliver correct product to production for order needed.
• Return product from production to appropriate space and update product labeling.
• Ensure timely notification of used product to Purchasing.
• Maintain current labeling after the product is returned from production with new quantities or weights.
• Ensure the oldest inventory is used first.
• Ensure priority of product usage based on established guidelines.
• Prepare product for shipping as needed.
• Report all damaged or incorrect products to the Procurement Manager.
• Perform inventory counts at month end and investigate missing products.
• Ensure the used product log is always updated and current.
• Safely operate forklifts.
• Completes training by supervisor.
• Complies with all safety and company policies and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Good math skills. Good understanding of mathematical conversions (i.e. milligrams to grams).
• Have good interpersonal and partnering skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to, be accepted by, and interrelate with the organization at all levels.
• Proven numerical reasoning skills, with the ability to understand and assess complex data

Education and Experience

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior mechanical experience/or relevant experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Preferably 2 years of hands-on experience in assembly production and/or inventory management.
• Must have a good attitude and work ethic and be dependable.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours per day, as well as any assigned overtime including weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday).
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment with extreme temperatures and some outdoor exposure.
• Must have the physical and mental ability, including omnidirectional spatial awareness and capability, to operate a standard forklift and a CombiLift successfully.
• Must be able to use tools, equipment, machinery, etc.
• Must have good mathematics skills, the ability to accurately use a tape measure and weight scale and be knowledgeable in the metric measurement system.
• Must be able to use a computer and commonly used software with intermediate proficiency
• Must be proficient in MS Excel specifically.
• Must have visual acuity, discernment of color & texture, and finger dexterity.
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Must be able to bend, lift, twist, reach, grasp, and other physical movements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read, write, type, and verbally communicate effectively in English.
• Must be reliable and dependable.

Working EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise environments, chemicals used in the process, and extreme temperatures.
