- Lead contract negotiations for licensing and purchasing of electronic resources, books, journals, streaming video, and other resources to obtain favorable pricing and terms of use; develop and maintain relationships with vendors;
- manage the e-resource lifecycle and ensure discoverability and accessibility of Library resources.
- Evaluate and pursue open access initiatives and other content pricing models that support the longer-term sustainability of library collections sourcing.
- Analyze usage statistics, institutional data, ILL reports, and community feedback, as well as qualitative data, to evaluate return on investment and support decision-making around selection and renewal of resources; create reports and other deliverables to communicate usage trends and impact to Library staff and external stakeholders.
- Provide leadership for interpreting cataloging rules and setting local standards for the Acquisitions unit. Perform original and copy cataloging of library materials based on current professional standards using the OCLC WorldShare system and its utilities. Library materials include both print and electronic monographs, serials/continuation orders, periodicals, music scores, audio-visual media, and other print and electronic materials.
- Update and maintain bibliographic records in OCLC WMS. Resolve cataloging problems. Maintain journal collection and activates electronic journals using WorldShare Collection Manager.
