Collections Manager- Credit#and Collections Description: Responsible for the organization, staffing, planning, training, orientation and controlling of personnel and activities within the Collections and Corporate Billing work groups and its interrelationships with other areas of Financial Services and other departments in the hospital organization Manages all vendors for collections The Collections work group consists of the following postions: Financial Assistance Coordinator, Collections Counselors and Corporate Billing Responsible for quarterly review of State and Federal regulations for any changes Responsible for researching and maintaining of all regulatory guidelines that pertain to participation in the Indigent Care Trust Fund Program and the Federal 501(r) regulations Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence Demonstrates good judgement through adherence and support of the philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of the department and institution Maintains positive interpersonal relationships to promote and maintain the efficiency of the organization Manages, plans and controls the workflow of the Collections and Corporate Billing work groups to ensure the completion of work assigned Contributes to the effective management of the department Contributes to the effective operation of the Medical Center by demonstrating dependability in job performance Contributes to the philosophy of quality of care and human dignity at the Medical Center Education/Experience: High School Graduate or G.E.D. 2 year Accounting or Business undergraduate degree preferred. May be substituted by 5 years experience in a patient accounting setting with 5 years in a supervisory role Minimum of 5 years experience in a patient accounting setting Must be familiar with aspects of Patient Financial Services, Registration, Quality Assurance, Preadmission, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Payments and Adjustments, and Collections At least three years experience as a supervisor is required CPAR designation is required Perks/Benefits: (for eligible employees): Have optimal opportunity for career growth within our growing organization Medical / Dental Retirement Plan PTO and paid life insurance## # What Sets Us Apart Archbold Medical Center is a four-hospital, four-nursing-home health system with 540 patient beds. Collections Manager- Credit and Collections

Description:

Responsible for the organization, staffing, planning, training, orientation and controlling of personnel and activities within the Collections and Corporate Billing work groups and its interrelationships with other areas of Financial Services and other departments in the hospital organization
