About the Role The Collections Specialist II position is a key customer service and internal support role within Uber Freight. This position is responsible for being a mentor and partner to other Collections Specialists, as well as taking on more complex customer accounting work. What the Candidate Will Do
  • Customer account assignments: Medium to complex
  • Run and format daily queries using multiple company-specific software/applications to show productivity increase/decrease on customer aging reports
  • Create and provide account balance spreadsheet with specialized reporting parameters
  • Liaison between assigned customers and internal departments to resolve billing issues and process conflicts
  • Discuss invoice discrepancies/errors with billing and operations departments to form corrective action plans
  • Ensure all work performed on customers' accounts are notated daily and updated in financial system for management to review if needed
  • Be a resource to Collections Specialists questions with processes, archived information locations, and applications
  • Mentor and hands on support to Collection Specialists partnered with you
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in Finance, Collections, or Accounts Receivable
  • Intermediate working knowledge of all Microsoft software applications, specifically Excel formulas and formatting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in Transportation and Logistics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem - solving skills
  • Capable of processing large volume of workload everyday
  • Ability to work independently
