COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST I - Della Infotech : Job Details

Duties: Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) is seeking an in-house Collections Coordinator, based in Santa Monica, CA, to support debt collection efforts for its US production music division. The Collections Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring receipt of all past-due payments from production music clientele. Their main duties include monitoring account aging statements, contacting customers to notify them of overdue payments, documenting activities and reporting debts collected. Job Functions: Utilize UMPG-designated collections software to monitor the accounts receivables to identify overdue clients. Contact past-due clients to either collect full payment or manage achievable repayment plans. Maintain detailed activities of client outreach, as well as records of any payments collected from customers. Review monthly aging reports, identify and account for customer accounts with a high probability of uncollectible balances. Liaise with sales team to communicate customer complaints and to develop strategies to minimize past-due accounts. Submit monthly reports to management outlining progress and reporting any issues.Skills: Job Requirements: Computer skills, including but not limited to an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, as well as experience with MS Great Plains. Experience using Lockstep Anytime Collect a plus. Must be comfortable interacting professionally and courteously with clients via email and phone. Attention to detail: strong organizational and time management skills and an ability to work amid distractions and interruptions. Ability to work with very little supervision. Highly developed problem solving and decision-making abilities.Education: Minimum 3 years in collections capacity. Music/Entertainment experience a plus.
