Primary Purpose:
The College, Career, and Military Readiness Coordinator is responsible for driving academic achievement and career readiness through a blend of instructional support, community engagement, and strategic outreach. This role involves enhancing instructional development, managing change at the school level, and fostering community partnerships to support students' academic and career goals. The Coordinator will work to close achievement gaps, especially for underperforming and diverse student groups, and ensure alignment with district goals and improvement plans.
The College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) Facilitator will be the designated district point person for CCMR efforts, campus-based TSI oversight, and lead initiatives correlated to college and workforce transition and celebration of student success.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Education, or a related field required.
Community Relations experience required.
Master's Degree in content area or Administration preferred.
Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements in core content area (CTE),preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in community engagement within a school district or non-profit.
Minimum 3 years of secondary teaching experience preferred.
District-level or Corporate specialist experience preferred.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proven expertise in career and workforce curriculum development, curriculum mapping, unit planning, and formative progress monitoring, preferred specific to College, Career, or Military readiness.
Knowledge of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and ability to design interventions to close achievement gaps, preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Effective coaching, problem-solving, and conferencing skills.
Commitment to professional growth and best teaching practices.
Ability to analyze data, define problems, and develop action plans for continuous improvement.
Understanding of local business and economic climates and community partnership building.
Knowledge of CCMR A-F accountability
Ability to track and organize data
Knowledge of work with first-generation, low socioeconomic status, and/or undocumented populations
Responsibilities and Duties:
Instructional and Academic Support:
Work cooperatively with district administrators and campus principals to develop and supervise the instructional programs in the assigned subject areas.
Coordinate the ordering and using departmental instructional aids and materials for assigned subject areas.
Evaluate the curriculum and instruction program effectiveness for the assigned subject areas based on evaluative findings (including student achievement data) and recommend changes as needed.
Disaggregate, calculate, and interpret student assessment data, including all state assessments, state interim assessments, local benchmark assessments, and curriculum-based assessments (CBA) given by the district throughout the school year.
Provide data regarding projections for student growth and campus performance after each assessment.
Staff Development:
Plan and provide staff development for CTE Campus Specialist
Disseminate information and provide training regarding current research and significant developments on the state and national levels in areas assigned.
Observe CTE Specialist performance whether in school or offsite, and provide feedback and assistance to specialists to facilitate improvement and innovation.
Community and Business Engagement:
Recruit and coordinate the local Community Council, including setting agendas, managing training, and cultivating new members.
Establish and cultivate relationships with the business community to develop career programs, mentoring, and employment opportunities for students.
Assist CTE Specialists to become and serve as the community liaison for campuses and their respective communities.
Assist with promoting community awareness and engagement through presentations and partnerships with local organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce.
Assist with coordinating events and networks within the community to provide resources that improve student outcomes, including uniforms, mentoring, scholarships, and employment opportunities.
Operational Management:
Work with campuses to create and manage an annual event calendar for the local area.
Draft and maintain an annual operating budget, manage event budgets, and track expenditures.
Ensure accurate data entry and tracking of community partners.
Support and Collaboration:
Collaborate with other staff, including executive staff, to strengthen and expand relationships with community partners.
Promote effective cross-functional relationships with campus staff, community members, and future partners.
Additional Duties:
Suggest resources and materials to support staff in achieving program goals.
Collaborate with directors and administrators to execute campus and district initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Work will predominantly be inside but outdoor work will occur. Working conditions may be in both heat and cold. Job requires bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, reaching overhead, twisting, and sitting on the floor. Work environment may include indoor, outdoor, and field trips. Work under fast-paced, loud, stressful conditions. Some local travel may be required.
