Job Overview:The College Liaison supports and continues retention efforts through the collaboration with the College Health Sciences and Education students, staff and faculty. This position will support intervention programming to include Student Alert, academic probation and departmental dismissals, the First-Year Experience, Bridge Program and undeclared advising. In addition, operate the Student Alert Program, providing outreach to students who are demonstrating academic and personal difficulties through low class attendance, poor academic performance and/or class behaviors that are not consistent with effective learning. Meet with identified students and provide individualized academic skills instruction, academic advising and recovery planning, and personal coaching. Refer students to other campus resources as indicated in an effort to facilitate successful adjustment to the University environment.Education:
- Master's Degree in Higher Education, Psychology, or related field is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in collegiate environment.
Work-Related Knowledge:
- Knowledge working with at risk students to encourage academic growth and support.
