Overview
R&P is looking for a self-starting professional who wants to join our team. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to our government clients In Pascagoula, MS. We need a Fire Control Systems Technician with recent SSDS/IDT experience to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for installation, grooming, troubleshooting, activation, testing and integration of the SSDS system aboard LPD 17 Class Ships built in Yard at Pascagoula MS.
* Interact with the shipbuilder and Government Combat Systems Team Members in test execution of the SSDS system.
* Ability to work in a Shipyard Industrial Environment
* Supports System Light Off Milestones such as Electronics Systems Light Off and Combat Systems Light Off events
* Participates in Builders at Sea Trials, Acceptance Trials, and Final Contract Trials
* Reviews Industrial Test Procedures for Specification and Technical Accuracy
* Assists Ships Force Personnel in System Familiarity and Operation of SSDS/BFTT
* Ability to work alone and or in teaming environment
Qualifications
* High School Diploma with at least seven plus years Active-Duty US Navy experience onboard US Naval Vessels in testing, interating, troubleshooting, and repairing of SSDS.
* Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
* Experience with Microsoft Office Programs
* Amphibious Assault Ship Experience Preferred
* Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.
* DoD/Navy ACAT I Program and Amphibious Ship Systems and Production experience is a plus.
