Job DescriptionAs a Combo Welder with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you'll support a large network of Commercial & industrial contractors in Charleston, SC working on Plumbing, HVAC, & Piping projects. Will need to be proficient in Site Work and Shop Fabrication & procicient with Stick, Flux, TIG, MIG, solder, & Brazing with copper, carbon, Aluminum, Stainless, Magnesium, Nickel, Silicon Bronze, Copper-nickle, & Titanium materials where it relates to MEP Equipment, supply, waste, & drainage management in Buildings.   • Ability to work 5- 8's with possible weekend work as needed for the project's critical needs
  • Review blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of materials, welds to specks, or needed adjustments to existing structures
  • Measure, Cut, assemble and install pipes, plates, & tubes with attention to existing infrastructure or as laid out in the shop drawings for fabrication needs
  • Build, install, and maintain supports as needed for Plumbing, Piping, HVAC, & Ductwork
  • Install new or replace existing materials in preparation for scheduled adjustments
  • Maintain work Schedule on installation crew for Pipe Installation Perform braising, soldering, and various welding techniques as needed to connect different types of piping systems to prefab structures or site equipment & fixtures
  • Follow all Site, Federal, State, and Local regulatory Safety and trade-specific regulations & best practices
  • Complete assigned tasks as defined in Drawings; Plans, & as-built specifications provided by management teams
  • Perform Preparatory and finishing touches including grinding, polishing, & prepping areas for all hot work as needed for proper connection of various materials.
Qualifications:
  • OSHA 10 Certification or a willingness to obtain it
  • Welding certifications, credentials, or Training required
  • Complete Personal Tool Bag for the job including Protective & Safety equipment will be needed for this position
  • 5 plus years as a Welder in Industrial or commercial settings is required
  • Ability to Weld in all positions including 6G on pipe, Structural components, or Related work requirements
  • Ability to Weld Pipe ranging from 1/2 copper to 36 including but not limited to Victaulic or HDPE, Copper pipe, carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel, magnesium, copper, nickel, silicon bronze, cast iron, cooper nickel, and titanium
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Prior experience in the Commercial Or Industrial Mechanical field (required)
  • Prior experience using Pipe & Duct welding with MIG, TIG, STICKg, Flux- core, Silver Solder, & Braze
  • Position will require a drug screen & Background check
