Job DetailsWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our commercial general contractor firm. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our preconstruction process, preparing accurate cost estimates for various commercial construction projects.Responsibilities:

• Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and other project documents to determine material quantities and labor requirements
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects of varying size and complexity
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather accurate pricing information
• Develop quantity-based estimates from partial information when necessary
• Review and validate subcontractor bids and work scopes
• Identify potential deficiencies in drawings and generate pricing to cover them
• Maintain up-to-date information on material and labor costs through research and vendor relationships
• Assist in the preparation and submission of bid proposals
• Support the estimating department in accumulating historical cost data
• Participate in project handover meetings with the construction team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of construction experience, with at least 2 years in estimating
• Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, Primavera, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
