AP Dodson, a successful and well-established construction company, is seeking to hire a Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead our construction projects from concept to completion. This role requires expertise in estimating, bidding, project management, and client communication. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented leader with excellent problem-solving skills and a strong ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze project documents to prepare accurate cost estimates and competitive bids.
- Develop project budgets by calculating labor, material, and equipment costs.
- Identify potential risks and incorporate contingency plans into cost estimates.
- Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for competitive pricing.
- Oversee all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction to closeout.
- Develop and manage project schedules to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring compliance with specifications, budgets, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with on-site supervisors, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve issues.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Manage client expectations by providing updates on project progress, budgets, and any potential challenges.
- Monitor and manage bid process for commercial jobs.
- Provide guidance and support to on-site teams and subcontractors.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
- Proven experience in estimating, bidding, and delivering successful commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software and estimating tools.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Experience in bid package creation.
