AP Dodson, a successful and well-established construction company, is seeking to hire a Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead our construction projects from concept to completion. This role requires expertise in estimating, bidding, project management, and client communication. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented leader with excellent problem-solving skills and a strong ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze project documents to prepare accurate cost estimates and competitive bids.
  • Develop project budgets by calculating labor, material, and equipment costs.
  • Identify potential risks and incorporate contingency plans into cost estimates.
  • Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for competitive pricing.
  • Oversee all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction to closeout.
  • Develop and manage project schedules to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring compliance with specifications, budgets, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with on-site supervisors, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve issues.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and timely communication.
  • Manage client expectations by providing updates on project progress, budgets, and any potential challenges.
  • Monitor and manage bid process for commercial jobs.
  • Provide guidance and support to on-site teams and subcontractors.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
  • Proven experience in estimating, bidding, and delivering successful commercial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management software and estimating tools.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Experience in bid package creation.
