Potential to become a full time position after contract period is over. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and possess excellent supervisory skills.Who we are: E Tabb Design Construction & Development is a commercial construction general contracting firm that specializes in medical construction. Based in Louisville, KY, we provide design/build GC services to corporate and independent clients in the medical field throughout the eastern United States.We are a team-oriented company that values attention to detail, follow-through and a willingness to learn new skills. Our owners are involved and accessible, and have over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. Our projects in Pooler, Georgia will be medical office tenant build outs of 5,000SF or less and will span all phases of construction, from concrete slab pour and layout to punch out for client turnover. Our crews self-perform many aspects of construction which can include demo, layout, concrete, framing, door/frame installation, casework install, and ceiling install.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and Supervise: Manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring that they align with project timelines and quality standards.
- Budget and Schedule Management: Ensure that projects are completed on time and within the allocated budget, making adjustments as needed to maintain these goals.
- Subcontractor and Vendor Management: Oversee subcontractors and vendors, ensuring that their work meets the required quality standards and project specifications.
- Safety Protocol Enforcement: Implement and enforce all safety protocols on the job site, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.
- Blueprint and Document Review: Accurately review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other construction documents to guide project execution.
- Progress Monitoring: Continuously monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders, identifying and resolving any issues that arise.
- Inspection Preparation: Ensure that projects are prepared for and pass all required inspections, maintaining compliance with local building codes and regulations.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Proven Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent, with a track record of successfully completed projects.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in construction management software such as Procore, Fieldwire, or similar platforms.
- Blueprint Reading: Strong ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent supervisory and leadership abilities, with the capacity to oversee multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
- Construction Knowledge: In-depth familiarity with all phases of construction, from ground-breaking to final inspection.
- Safety Compliance: Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and experience in enforcing safety protocols on-site.
- Education: A degree in construction management or a related field is preferred but not required.
