Imperial Utilities & Sustainability, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Energy Broker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess an existing book of business and demonstrate exceptional skills in soliciting new customers. In this role, you will facilitate energy transactions, including electricity and natural gas, for commercial clients. This position involves building and maintaining professional relationships, analyzing market trends, and providing clients with tailored energy solutions that promote efficiency and sustainability.

Essential Functions

  • Facilitate the purchase and sale of energy products, including electricity and natural gas, for commercial and residential clients.
  • Conduct proactive outreach through cold and warm calls to prospective clients.
  • Provide detailed information about the products and services offered by Imperial Utilities & Sustainability, Inc.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand the client base.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction and retention.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to provide accurate pricing and energy solutions.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of industry terminology and services to effectively address client needs.
  • Prepare and present customized quotes and proposals to current and potential clients.
  • Stay informed about market conditions, regulatory changes, and emerging trends to provide clients with up-to-date information.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Training Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Energy Management, or a related field.
  • Equivalent experience (approximately 5 years) in energy brokerage or a related industry may be considered.
  • Possession of an Energy Brokerage License is preferred.

Work Experience Requirements

  • Proven experience in building and managing business-to-customer relationships.
  • Established book of business in the energy sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to solicit and acquire new customers.
  • Previous management experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
