Department Facilities Maintenance Responsibilities Responsible for safe and efficient operation of commercial vehicles including backhoe, boom truck, dump truck, trencher, and front-end loader. Responsible for routine maintenance of equipment operated. Assists with concrete finishing, form setting, fence construction, air hammer operation, street repairs, and parking lot maintenance. Performs carpentry duties such as lay-out, grade and construction of forms for retainer walls, benches, tables, sidewalks; structures requiring the use of cement, mortar, block, and related building materials. Assists with construction, maintenance, repair, and demolition of University structures as required. Maintains records and timekeeping as required. Performs other related tasks in support of Facilities Maintenance. Performs tasks as a member of the Biohazard Team. Must complete Bloodborne Pathogens Training through EH&S and complete annual refresher training pursuant to OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standards (29 CFR 1910.1030). Qualifications Completion of the ninth grade. A valid State of Florida or Georgia driver's CDL Class B license or ability to obtain upon hire.
