Job Title: Commercial Finance Analyst

Overview:

The Commercial Finance Analyst provides essential data management and analysis support, focusing on sales volume, profitability, pricing, program effectiveness, market penetration, and account management. This role works closely with Sales Management, Marketing, and Pricing teams to ensure financial goals are met and budgets are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Sales Management, Marketing, and Pricing teams in financial planning, reporting, and analysis.
• Support the Commercial Finance team in building P&L statements to achieve supplier Annual Operating Plans (AOPs).
• Ensure profitability goals are met by working closely with Sales and Marketing teams.
• Identify overspend risks and opportunities in collaboration with the Commercial Finance team.
• Assist in ensuring financial plans align with budgets during the annual planning process.
• Partner with Marketing Directors to price new innovation brand items.
• Participate in the monthly vendor/supplier billing aging process to meet objectives set by National leadership.
• Reconcile supplier bank records and support the management of supplier accounts.
• Generate monthly financial recaps and year-end projections for key strategic suppliers.
• Conduct gross profit and department expense analysis.
• Coordinate check requests for suppliers and third-party vendors.
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

• Bachelors degree with at least three years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
• At least two years of financial analysis experience in a corporate setting.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Preferred:

• Experience in a sales and distribution organization with multiple SKUs.
• Knowledge of the consumer goods industry.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and job-related software applications.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
