We are currently working with a thriving bank looking for a motivated Commerical Lender to lead and build their commercial lending footprint for their Wausau location.What's the role?Our client is seeking a results-driven Commercial Lender to join their team at their Wausau location. This fully onsite role is ideal for a motivated professional with strong sales acumen and a passion for expanding the bank's presence in the Wausau market. In this position, you will leverage your commercial banking expertise and extensive network to grow your portfolio while fostering relationships with local businesses.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic sales plans to expand the bank's commercial lending footprint in the Wausau area.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business clients, fostering trust and identifying their financial needs.
- Proactively generate new business leads through networking, community involvement, and referral sources.
- Analyze and evaluate client financial data to recommend lending solutions that align with their business goals.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience from application to funding.
- Stay current on market trends and industry developments to identify new opportunities and provide informed guidance to clients.
What experience and skills do I need to be successful?
- Proven success in commercial lending or business development, with a strong understanding of banking products and services.
- Established network in the Wausau area and a demonstrated ability to connect with local businesses.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a consultative sales approach.
- Ability to work independently and meet aggressive growth goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- The bank is willing to consider a strong sales professional with an established Wausau network if they can quickly develop the needed banking skills to enter this role.
What will my schedule look like?This role will work its core business hours Monday-Friday, but strong sales staff understand that networking events outside normal business hours are essential to building relationships. Generally, no overnight travel is expected but travel in the community to prospect and connect with clients is an expectation.
