Brown & Brown Insurance is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their Commercial Lines Team in Columbia, KY! Under general supervision of the Profit Center Leader, this individual's primary responsibility involves customer service duties for Commercial Lines customer accounts and transactions, in support of the production of business. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Build, expand and solidify relationships with clients at all levels within the company and lead appropriate resources to address client's needs, including risk and identification and resolution of underwriting or policy issues.
  • Responsible for day to day account management of clients accounts.
  • Provide customer relations with all levels of client's decision-makers as well as the day-to-day technical client representatives.
  • Follow up to address customer needs and resolve their problems/issues.
  • Ensure the proper resources from within the organization are involved with the customer and introduce new products through the other core business groups where appropriate.
  • Document sales, prospecting information into the sales management database.
  • Prepare customer renewal and new business strategy including proposals and presentations and ensure they agree with customer's requests/requirements.
  • Present proposal to customer ensuring appropriate team members and resources are represented/attend.
  • Maintain follow-up and suspense file though Applied TAM, documenting conversation in activities and adhering to all other automation procedures.
  • Follow Agency guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Keep producers and /or management fully informed of important activities on their accounts.
  • Remain current on industry trends and information, new product development, legislation, coverages and technology.
  • Remain up to date with current market conditions and status of competition.
  • Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Must be a licensed Property & Casualty Insurance Agent.
  • Extensive knowledge of all commercial lines insurance coverages and forms.
  • Ability to create and enhance business relationships, must have a friendly, outgoing personality with a good work ethic and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and meet deadlines.
