Client Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Project Manager to serve as the Owner's Representative for a variety of construction projects. This role is responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and execution of projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact between the client and contractors, guiding project teams, managing resources, and mitigating risks to achieve successful project outcomes.

Description

  • Serve as the Owner's Representative for commercial construction projects, providing guidance and oversight throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Lead the project planning and initiation process, ensuring alignment with client objectives and project goals.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop and refine project scopes, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Oversee and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of the project.
  • Conduct regular site visits and project meetings to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing potential challenges that could impact timelines, budgets, or project quality.
  • Review and approve project invoices, change orders, and progress reports to ensure accuracy and adherence to contractual agreements.
  • Maintain strong communication with all stakeholders, including clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams, ensuring transparency and clarity throughout the project.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, codes, and safety standards throughout the project's execution.
  • Facilitate the preparation and presentation of project updates and reports to senior management and clients.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager or Owner's Representative in commercial construction.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, project management principles, and contract administration.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and managing deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and hands-on approach to managing projects.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
