Commercial Roofing Service Foreman - Bulldog Group : Job Details

Under the general direction of the Service Manager, the Service Foremen oversees the repair deficiencies in all types of low-slope and steep-slope commercial roof systems.

General Responsibilities and Duties:

• Use FCS technology to properly complete dispatches sent by Service Manger from beginning to end, including but not limited to the following:
• Enter time and materials correctly
• Photograph all deficiencies and enter appropriate description for each
• Maintain and repair all types of roofing materials and protective coatings, such as but not limited to single ply membranes (EPDM, TPO, PVC), wood, shingles, standing seam metal, hot and cold applied built up systems, slate and tile;
• Locate leaks in roof systems and decides appropriate action to be taken;
• Identify deficiencies in roof systems that may cause future damage and notifies Service Manager and building owner/customer;
• Communicate effectively with Service Helper, Service Manager, and customers;
• Ensure all necessary tools, equipment, and materials are on the truck at the beginning of each work day;
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools including pneumatic and electric hand tools;
• Service Foreman is responsible for the required inspections of these hand and power tools used; maintains tools and equipment;
• Install, waterproof, repair, and maintain sheet metal/lead flashings, drain rings, gutters down spouts, and all related components;
• Perform carpentry necessary for roofing projects including installation and repair of rafters, sheathing, and fascia, construction of platforms and roof jacks, and roof penetrations;
• Plan and erect ladders in a safe manner as required by job site conditions and industry and OSHA standards.
• Accurately report work time and absences for all crew members using an iPhone, iPad, or computer through FieldEase daily.

Supervises: Service Technician

Other Requirements:

• Service Foremen must possess a valid drivers license.
• Service Foremen must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must have the ability to accurately follow instructions given by their supervisors.
• Great communication skills are required.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English required.
• The ability to work independently and make judgments independently are required.
• Service Foremen must have the ability to safely ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, and/or stairs on a daily basis.
• Service Foremen must also work outside in both extreme cold (below 32 degrees F) and heat (above 95 degrees F) throughout the year. In addition, Service Foremen must work outside during inclement weather including but not limited to rain, snow, and sleet.
• The selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal history background check.
• A motor vehicle report will be run annually.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
