Summary: The Commercial Sales Representative is responsible for growing and developing the sales and margins of MSI's porcelain, natural stone, wall tile, countertop, hardscape and mosaic product lines by specifying materials to commercial contractors, installation houses, builders, developers and property management companies located within an assigned geographic territory.

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to complete the following essential duties and responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with large commercial contractors, large tile installation houses, builders, property management companies, and developers to sell MSI materials.
- Knowledgeable and comfortable with hunting for new high capacity accounts in above market segments.
- Be constantly learning about flooring, wall surfaces, countertops, and hardscape needs / projects that above companies are bidding to be able to get them to utilize MSI products.
- Understand our products, our market competition and how to position our MSI products to be viewed as the right products / values for the customer's needs.
- Understand the V.E. (Value Engineer) process to take specified jobs requesting competitors' products and convert them into MSI product sales.
- Quotes prices, discusses credit terms and prepares sales contracts for customer orders.
- Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of company's delivery schedules.
- Investigates and resolves customer claims/problems with deliveries, returns and credits.
- Review and analyze various sales reports to identify sales potential with current customers and potential new customers.
- Manage displays, samples, and selling tools for customer availability.
- Utilize any and all marketing tools such as catalogs, brochures and vendor collateral to broaden reach in territory and promote company product.
- Attends trade shows throughout the year as required.
- Travels 80% locally, occasionally nationally and/or internationally.
- Performs additional duties as required and or requested.
Additionally the candidate must meet the following Education and/or Experience requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 2 years of related industry experience; natural stone, ceramic tile or hard flooring industries.
- Experience with Commercial Sales targeting large commercial contractors, builders / property management, and developers.
- Strong math skills calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, area, and volume.
- Ability to determine solutions for customers.
- Must be results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment. Proficient in using Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Valid driver's license.

Salary Range: $55,000-$75,000. Estimated annual pay for new hires generally ranges between $90,000 and $150,000 or more, depending on experience, education level and annual bonuses.
