Job Summary:
The Commercial Waterproofing Estimator/Project Manager is responsible for estimating project costs, preparing bids, and managing the successful execution of waterproofing projects. This role requires a mix of analytical, organizational, and leadership skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating:
- Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for waterproofing projects.
- Obtain vendor and subcontractor quotes for materials and services.
- Prepare detailed proposals, bids, and budgets for prospective projects.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project requirements.
Project Management:
- Oversee all phases of assigned projects, from pre-construction through completion.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on project requirements.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
- Monitor job site progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the course of the project.
Client Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong communication and relationships.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in waterproofing, commercial construction, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of waterproofing systems, materials, and installation methods.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
- Experience with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar).
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
