The Commissioning Engineer role is a highly technical position that will offer our clients expert level installation of building automation controls primarily around commercial HVAC systems for data centers. This is a non-office-based position reporting to the Operations manager. The position will require approximately 35% travel in the continental US.

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will:

* Review and provide feedback on customer data center building automation designs. Produce programs, and databases, to meet data center sequence of operations. Develop test scripts to confirm customer intent. Lead software and factory witness testing activities per the project requirements.

* Attend turn over meetings to gain knowledge of the sales estimate and project scope. Analyze plans, specifications, and contract details to determine system requirements.

* Perform third-party integration connected through Ethernet, Siemens P2, Modbus or BACNET.

* Create automation system databases and job-related programming for computer-based building control systems. Establish special calibration instructions on selected equipment. Support the creation of system graphics. Troubleshoot issues, including identifying and debugging software, and diagnosing electrical or pneumatic installation problems.

* Organize and maintain job documentation. Maintain revision tracking of programs, database, and test scripts for ensuring product consistency and standards.

* Provide on-site assistance with or perform programming, start-up, checkout, commissioning, and validation processes.

* Produce technical documentation describing the customer's sequence of operations based on developed BAS programming.

* Provide deliverables in a timely matter based on project schedules and estimated hours.

* Act as technical resource to customers and field employees.

* Maintain good internal/external customer relations, communicating/reporting progress of tasks and deliverables. Uphold customer standards and exceed customer expectations.

You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

* High school diploma or state-recognized GED required; Associate degree preferred

* Experience in installing and/or servicing electronic control and HVAC equipment; 7+ years preferred

* Knowledge of engineering fundamentals, HVAC, mechanical systems, business operations, and job financial reports

* Able to read/interpret electrical circuit diagrams

* Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD

* Good verbal and written communication skills in English

* Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization

* Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations

* The pay range for this position is $66,220 - $113,520 . The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
