COMMUNICATION OFFICER 1:Under general supervision from the shift commander or other administrative superior, participates in radio communications operations for law enforcement, security, or transportation facilities. - Adheres to all OSHA and/or Ohio University required safety guidelines - Receives and transmits radio communications dispatching personnel; receives and transmits messages by radio, telephone, or teletype in reference to criminal record checks, officer requests, officer location or receives and transmits messages for the department during non-office hours to contact appropriate personnel as needed. - Provides information when requested and routes telephone calls; operates mass alert system, receives and routes internal and external communications and follows procedures to contact appropriate personnel and/or agencies; responds to requests for criminal records and checks and disseminates information to law enforcement agencies via radio, teletype and telephone. - Monitors...Officer, Communication, Communications, Operations, Transportation, Systems, Education
