Position Details:The Opportunity:The Joint Center for Deployment and Research in Earth Abundant Materials (JCDREAM) is seeking a dynamic individual to develop, execute, and support a comprehensive communication strategy and annual work plan as our Communications Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for writing, editing, and coordinating a variety of materials, including news releases, newsletters, magazines, annual reports, proposals, speeches, educational content, brochures, video footage, still photography, and web content. Additionally, you will promote and organize symposia, and develop and maintain a database of contacts to support JCDREAM's mission of fostering collaborative academic and industrial research, as well as public outreach and education. If you have a knack for creating engaging content and managing diverse communication projects, we encourage you to apply for our Communications Specialist.
Required Qualifications:- A Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, marketing or other relevant field AND either two (2) years of professional experience in print OR broadcast news media, public relations, marketing including the use of electronic media or two (2) years of other relevant professional experience.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel programs.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience or education in STEM field.
- Background in media and/or public information industries.
- Experience working in a startup or other fast paced work environment.
- Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications.

Monthly Salary: $4,869.40 - $6,000 | In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
