RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience or educations related to Community Health Worker/Promotora, Health or Human services, health promotion, health education, nursing, nutrition, medical assistant, other health related field
- Current or pursuing addiction counseling certificate, Peer Support Specialist, or Health Coach certificate; OR bachelor's in nursing, dietetics, healthcare administration, public health, social work, social science, public policy, or related fields
- Knowledge of specific disease and lifestyle related topics such as smoking cessation, weight management, nutrition, substance use disorder, stress reduction and chronic conditions
- Have and maintain a valid California Driver's License. Must carry liability/bodily injury on his/her automobile(s) used for work
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of group process, psychosocial concepts, support systems, stages of change, Motivational Interviewing, ethical standards, and medical and behavioral health care systems
- Bilingual English/Spanish (fluent)
Salary Description $21 to $29 an hour, DOE
