The Community Coach Central is responsible for providing an enjoyable and safe soccer experience for youth across the St. Louis region. With a focus on developing passion & love for soccer, the provided curriculum will enhance physical and technical skills, emotional competencies, cognitive abilities, tactical principles and social competencies.Location: Harris-Stowe State University - 3026 Laclede Ave, St. Louis, MO 63103Essential Functions and Outcomes
- Conduct training sessions and events throughout the St. Louis region at Satellite Center locations
- Develop relationships with area soccer clubs, schools, families, youth organizations and the broader community
- Execute necessary logistics and administrative tasks to facilitate each training session and event
- Create an energetic, fun and caring environment during training sessions to support learning and the encourage the love of soccer
- Attend outside events to network, build relationships and engage the community
- Attend coaching education sessions
- Invest time on further learning opportunities through coaching licenses and badges
- Ensure the goals, strategy and measurable short-term and long-term performance targets in the community are met
- Regularly provide updates on work activities, outside meetings, players' performances, and events
- Contribute positively to a team culture
- Participate in team meetings and seasonal training sessions

- Basic knowledge of soccer tactics, sport science and multidisciplinary development

- Strong communication skills to effectively work with both internal and external constituents, with an emphasis on communicating the mission, vision, and culture of the Academy with players, families, coaches and community members
- Excellent facilitation skills, including the ability to manage and resolve tensions, disputes and conflicts
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience and Qualifications
- Coaching experience in youth soccer
- Willingness/experience in supporting social and emotional development of youth
Physical Effort This position will require talking, listening, standing, and physical activity for long periods of time. Must be able to work on a part-time basis.Out-of-Office ResponsibilitiesMust be able to work evenings, weekends, events, and holidays as required. This position will require flexibility of work schedule. Travel includes frequently driving a motor vehicle.
