As an Orders Delegate, you'll contribute to our success in the following ways:
- Manages patient orders in HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) and Forcura.
- Processes and sends all orders to the appropriate physician or clinical provider for signature, including but not limited to Plan of Care/485, Verbal Orders, Add-on Evaluations, Discharge, Follow-up, Resumption of Care, Transfer to Inpatient Facility.
- Manages the coordination of orders via all available means of delivery (telephonic, fax, email, personal-delivery, other).
- Coordinates with branch and sales staff to engage clinical providers and procure order signatures.
- Visits physicians to retrieve or deliver outstanding orders.
- Ensures a professional appearance when meeting with physicians.
- Works to maintain positive, collaborative relationships with referral sources, signing physicians, primary care providers, patients and their caregivers, and internal business partners.
- Monitors documentation folders in Forcura and follows up appropriately.
- Oversees the appropriate use of Elara Caring resources including, but not limited to, supplies and personnel to ensure financial success.
- Participates in internal staff meetings and training activities, as assigned.
- Promotes Elara Caring's philosophy, mission statement and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
- Maintains patient and staff privacy and confidentiality pursuant to HIPAA Privacy Final Rule.
- Performs other duties/projects as assigned.
What is Required?
- High School Diploma/GED
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must be able and willing to travel up to 25% to meet business needs
- Must have reliable transportation, valid drivers license and current auto insurance in accordance with the state laws.
