Our ideal candidate has a knack for putting people at ease, especially when they are feeling vulnerable. They understand that we can't serve our community without our amazing volunteers and is skilled at training and supporting them. They will ensure that our Food Market registration data are entered in a timely and accurate manner. The Registration Coordinator is also trained to fill in at our Front Desk to cover breaks, absences, and busy periods. They thrive in busy and unpredictable environments.As a member of the Food Market & Front End team, the Registration Coordinator is a strong collaborator and creative problem solver with a focus on continuous improvement. They are a consistent and inclusive communicator. The Registration Coordinator is expected to engage volunteers and guests in keeping with Haven values and principles, demonstrate a commitment to working as part of a team, and serve as an ambassador for the Haven.Benefits Our benefits package includes employer-paid healthcare premiums (medical, dental, vision), paid holidays, generous paid time off, life insurance, and a matching 403(b) retirement plan. The pay range is $20 to $22/hour depending on experience. ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will be a motivated individual who will:
- Coordinate all aspects of the Food Market registration process
- Schedule, train, and manage a team of dedicated volunteers
- Take ownership of maintaining accurate data and perform basic reporting
- Fill in and support at the Front Desk as needed
Requirements
- Communicates professionally both in writing and orally
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Outlook and basic Excel
- Demonstrates sound judgment in stressful and urgent situations
- Offers compassionate but firm guidance to volunteers and visitors
- Interacts comfortably with people from a wide range of social and economic and religious backgrounds
- Proven track record of reliability and punctuality
- Able to move about and lift up to 25 pounds
