Job Type Full-timeDescriptionPosition Purpose: Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance the credit union's community engagement and strengthen relationships with community partners. Coordinates sustainable and meaningful relationships with community-based organizations, the credit union's broader community, and existing and potential members with the goal of increasing the credit union's viability and positive impact within the community. Oversees the credit union's social responsibility initiatives and charitable giving programs.RequirementsEssential Functions and Responsibilities: •Coordinate, organize, plan, and execute the credit union's community outreach efforts, organizational sponsorships, and events. Includes internal and external coordination and communications, recruiting employee volunteers, and coordinating marketing materials.•Identify key stakeholders, such as community leaders, organizations, and influencers, and build relationships with them to foster positive partnerships.•Cultivate relationships with key personnel at partner organizations, both local employers and community organizations, to maintain the credit union's position as a benefit to their clients and employees. •Work closely with the Marketing and Branch Operations teams on outreach strategies that raise community awareness of the credit union.•Maintain a database of community and organizational contacts.•Develop community engagement tracking and reporting tools/processes.•In-person representation at events and community gatherings (e.g., check presentation photos, community events, etc.) is required on a regular basis.Candidate Requirements: •Passionate about helping others and serving the community.•Available and willing to work scheduled hours, evenings, and weekends when necessary. Requires ability to work outside of normal business hours.•Must have dependable transportation, local travel is required; mileage is reimbursable.•Detail oriented, able to handle multiple tasks at one time to meet established deadlines.•Ability to effectively relate to colleagues, members, and community partners using excellent verbal and written communication techniques.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Experience - Two to three years of similar or related experience in public relations. Demonstrated experience in planning successful community engagement initiatives.Education - Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field from a four-year college or university.Interpersonal Skills - Motivating or influencing others is a material part of the job. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others. The role requires a significant level of trust and diplomacy.Other Skills - (PC technology) & Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of Products (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc. Bilingual communication in English & Spanish is a plus.)Salary Description $68,000 - $75,000
