You will be expected to arrive at the time you and ADAPT staff agree to.
Were looking for people who have strong communication skills and enjoy engaging with people at our community outreach events. Those who enjoy their time with us the most are those who are adaptable and flexible, often learning new information on the job. Lastly, you should be organized and punctual as we often have people visit us the moment one of our community outreach events opens.
Volunteer responsibilities:
* Assist staff with set-up and break-down activity.
* Help make presentation materials attractive and engaging to the public.
* Engage with event attendees about ADAPTs supports and services.
* Distribute literature about ADAPTs supports and services to event attendees.
* Capture interest of attendees at events and share with staff.
* Positively represent ADAPT at all times
* Any other tasks asked of by an ADAPT staff member Additional notes:
* This is an unpaid position. It can count for any program asking you to donate your time and effort. Were also happy to provide references if requested.
* Those who open themselves up to more than one borough will have more opportunities available to them.
