Responsibilities include assisting customers with purchases and inquiries, operating the cash register, restocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining a clean and orderly store environment. Student workers may also support online order processing, textbook organization, and event preparation. Strong communication skills, reliability, and a positive attitude are essential.Department: The Campus StoreLocation: Reamer Campus CenterSupervisor: Mark YetmanWork Available: Hours vary based on store needs and student availability. Weekend and evening shifts may be required during peak periods (e.g., start of term, events, or textbook rush).Rate of Pay: $9.70/hrNumber of Positions Available: 10Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process sales and returns
• Restock merchandise and maintain organized product displays
• Assist with receiving, tagging, and inventory of new merchandise
• Support textbook processing, including shelving and organization
• Fulfill and package online and in-store pickup orders
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of sales floor and back stock areas
• Assist with special store events and seasonal sales
• Follow all store policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled Union College student
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
