Position Summary:

The Compensation Analyst ensures SIA offers a total rewards program to its Associates that is competitive, fiscally viable, and in accordance with state and federal laws. This role is responsible for conducting evaluation of jobs, Associate performances, SIA benefits, pay incentives, participates in compensation surveys, and performs all associated analysis. This role also deals with large quantities of data and requires a highly organized and detail-oriented approach.

Outline of Duties:

  • The chief responsibility of the Compensation Analyst is to administer and participate in the development of total rewards programs on behalf of SIA. These programs are far-reaching and can include wages and compensation, benefits packages, incentives, and bonuses. Administering these programs requires input from multiple sources, including market research, internal and external surveys, performance evaluations, and other relevant source material.
  • There are multiple Indiana and federal pay regulations SIA must follow to avoid penalties or lawsuits. The Compensation Analyst is responsible for knowledge of all applicable regulations and ensuring SIA is and remains compliant.
  • To properly administer total rewards programs, the Compensation Analyst must have all relevant information related to Associate performance. To acquire this information the Compensation Analyst will consult with the Associate Development Section and work collaboratively within SIA the achieve the best organizational outcomes.
  • The Compensation Analyst will rely on various data sets to inform their activity. Compiling this data includes both consulting with and researching multiple sources, including current wage trends, compensation surveys, role market data, and more. These data sets will require meticulously organization and need to be collated for continuous reference by multiple stakeholders.
  • SIA relies on its Compensation Analyst to procure and analyze data in an effort to produce detailed reports on everything from job performance to current job market pricing. The creation of these reports requires collecting and collating data from multiple sources, delineating pertinent information from the irrelevant, and creating actionable reports based on the processing of that information.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or similar required plus 2 years of relevant compensation or HR experience
  • Experience analyzing large amounts of data and presenting findings in a concise format.
  • Excellent communication skills in writing, speaking, and presenting.
  • Independent self-starter able to prioritize work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Experience with using data to drive decision making.
  • MS Office, including experience with Excel, data analysis and salary compensation surveys.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 5 or more years of compensation and/or HR related experience
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and/or automotive industry
  • Relevant certification: SHRM-CP, PHR, Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification
  • Project management experience
