Overview:
The Compensation Analyst is responsible for job analysis, position descriptions, survey matching and data submission, survey data analysis, salary structure modifications, bonus processing and other data and cost analysis.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure organizational compliance with Federal and State laws, including reporting requirements.
- Observe, interview, and survey employees and conduct focus group meetings to collect job, organizational, and occupational information.
- Evaluate jobs, write position descriptions, determine and prepare occupational classification, exempt or non-exempt status, salary scales, and market salary.
- Provide advice on the resolution of classification and salary complaints.
- Prepare reports, such as career path reports, to summarize job analysis and evaluation and compensation analysis information.
- Advise managers and employees on Federal and State employment regulations, benefits and compensation policies, related procedures and classification programs.
- Performs survey matching and data submission.
- Analyzes survey data to update salary structures.
- Process quarterly store bonus and annual bonus for both Store and Support Office.
- Perform multifactor data and cost analysis that may be required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- Minimum 2 years' related experience
- A combination of education, training and relevant work experience may be substituted upon hiring manager's approval
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: knowledge of HRIS applications preferred
- Experience with Human Resources concepts, processes, laws, regulations and procedures
- Ability to work under deadline pressure, cope well with changing priorities and effectively manage multiple projects
- Very well organized, high attention to detail, logical problem-solving skill and must be able to maintain the confidentiality of employee information
- Perform extensive research, make independent analysis and report findings
- Proactively identify problems or needs, involve stakeholders and develop viable action plans/recommendations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical, inductive reasoning and decision-making skills, and ability to work on cross-functional teams
