Job Description:The Compensation Consultant partners with HR Business Partners and leadership across the organization in the area of compensation program evaluation and design. Responsible for research and modeling of programs and practices to ensure more proactive solutions to meet business needs. Performs complex, analytical modeling in order to make data driven recommendations on our various compensation programs. Consults with and provides guidance and resolution to the Compensation team, Human Resources team members and leaders at all levels of the organization related to compensation needs. Serves as the project lead on major compensation projects. Drives enterprise pay strategies.
Major Responsibilities:1. Consults with HRBPs leadership at all levels of the organization and Compensation staff to identify compensation program needs. Designs and develops new programs based on the organizational needs. 2. Partners with Compensation team to conduct ongoing, pro-active analysis and research and brings forward recommendations to meet emerging business needs. 3. Regularly monitors external trends in the area of compensation and brings forward ideas for implementation of new and change of existing compensation programs. 4. Leads the communication plan for the annual compensation processes. Works closely with the compensation team to ensure adherence to deadlines5. Consults with leadership across the organization and HRBPs on the development of new roles and department structure changes. 6. Partner in the development and implementation of new policies, consulting with HRBPs and leadership throughout the organization, and provides input and oversight into the updating of existing policies. 7. Drives statistical modeling using advanced tools and techniques to solve workforce issues related to pay.8. Partner with recruitment on more complex compensation offers for staff and leadership positions, consulting with the Manager as needed. 9. Leads and oversees the entire job evaluation process. Ensures analysts conduct accurate job analysis according to policy and practice. When appropriate, assigns job evaluation requests to the analyst for completion, determines when we use a different market approach and assigns work as appropriate, ensures the completion of requested job evaluations in a timely manner. Reviews compensation decisions on exemption status and pay grade assignments, consulting with the Manager as needed.10. Oversees the use of the Pay factors system to ensure the compensation department is using the full functionality of this system in completing compensation work. 11. Makes recommendations for the continuous quality improvement strategies for compensation programs. 12. Serves as a project lead in the development and delivery training related to compensation. 13. Provides guidance, work assignments and training for compensation staff. 14. Adheres to regular and predictable attendance. 15. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or other business-related field required.
Work Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in Compensation including design of compensation structures and processes desired. Healthcare industry experience preferred. Experience using Workday and/or Infor desired.
Certifications: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) desired
