Compliance and Billing Coordinator
Salary: $19.17 - $20.42
Position Overview: The Compliance and Billing Coordinator is responsible for a variety of fast-paced and interesting administrative tasks within the Quality Assurance department. This role involves managing weekly agency billing, maintaining the Electronic Health Record (EHR), and ensuring compliance with OPWDD regulations. You'll lead Therap software-related tasks, train staff, and review program billing for accuracy and compliance. The position also includes problem-solving responsibilities, such as recording and summarizing Incident Review Committee meetings, preparing reports, and assisting with QA projects. Additionally, you'll oversee the agency's records room, managing file organization, purging, and retention, while serving as the liaison for all records-related matters across departments. This position reports to the Director of Quality Improvement and Compliance.

Responsibilities
* Provides guidance and leadership to the agency in all Therap related topics. Assists in new program and module development, preparation and training. Ensures Therap documentation meets OPWDD compliance regulations. Attends Therap User Group meetings, trainings and conferences.
* Acts as the agency subject matter expert for OPWDD regulations for program billing for both waiver and non-waiver services billing. Provides staff training on new regulations as needed. Checks all submitted billing for compliance to regulation before submitting for payment. Works closely with finance staff to ensure billing is entered accurately and timely.
* Maintains the Records Room in an organized efficient manner. Completes the routine filing independently in the records room, organizing the records per year per individual file. Maintains purged records until approved for shredding. Works with QA team members to fulfill complete calendar year purges.

Requirements
* Associates Degree in Applied Science (Administrative Assistant) or related field and three years related work experience or an equivalent amount of education and experience.
* Therap experience required.
* Experience with word processing and data entry is essential. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, and PowerPoint are necessary.
* Ability to master additional software (ImPowr, Relias, etc.) as needed.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a necessity. Attention to detail, ability to work in a fast paced, busy environment with excellent organizational skills is a must.
