Senior Compliance Auditor - Jewelry Manufacturing IndustryHybrid - headquarters in Manhattan, with facilities in Providence, Albuquerque, and Tamarac)Full Time PositionCompany OverviewOur client has a diverse product portfolio, including fine jewelry and specialty items. Due to its international supply chain and sourcing of precious materials, the company is highly focused on ensuring compliance with ethical sourcing, anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, and IT security standards.Position SummaryThe Senior Compliance (& IT Auditor) will play a key role in ensuring the company adheres to strict compliance, ethical, and IT security regulations. This role is responsible for assessing risks related to financial, operational, and IT systems, ensuring supply chain integrity, and preventing exposure to unethical practices such as smuggling, illegal sourcing, and regulatory non-compliance.Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance & Ethics Auditing:
  • Monitor global manufacturing facilities to ensure adherence to compliance frameworks.
  • Evaluate sourcing of raw materials (gold, diamonds, etc.) to ensure ethical and legal procurement, avoiding conflict zones and sanctioned countries.
  • Ensure compliance with AML regulations, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and other global compliance standards.
  • Prevent risks associated with smuggling and illicit commodity trade.
  • IT Audit & Security Compliance:
  • Conduct IT audits to assess cybersecurity risks, data protection measures, and compliance with industry IT standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
  • Assess internal IT controls, identify vulnerabilities, and work with IT teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security protocols, particularly related to ERP, supply chain management systems, and financial reporting tools.
  • Oversee the integrity and security of digital records related to procurement, payments, and compliance reporting.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Industry Experience: Preference for candidates with experience in global manufacturing, consumer goods, luxury goods, or highly regulated industries. Banking-heavy auditors will not be considered.
  • Compliance & Risk Expertise: Strong background in compliance auditing, AML, FCPA, and social audits.
  • IT Audit Skills: Experience conducting IT audits, assessing cybersecurity risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance for IT systems.
  • Supply Chain Ethics Knowledge: Familiarity with international trade regulations, ethical sourcing, and commodity tracking.
  • Regulatory Acumen: Ability to interpret complex regulatory landscapes and ensure adherence across operations.
