Essential Functions
- Maintain open communication with company management team
- Develop and maintain a professional relationship with all customers that facilitates positive morale, mutual respect, and of teamwork and cooperation.
- Attend and participate in meetings as requested to stay abreast of company issues, policy and procedure changes, personnel updates and general information.
- Assures the atmosphere of overall service provision is therapeutic, provides optimal growth for individuals and preserves individuals' dignity and self-worth.
- Maintains open communication with supervisor.
- Communicate and model the agency's mission statement, core values, policies and procedures.
- Consistently inform team members and other necessary employees of pertinent employee matters to ensure continuity of services.
- Participate in surveys as needed (ex. ODH, DODD, Internal QA, etc).
- Manage and implement Quality Assurance for Scioto Trails.
- Maintain a thorough, current knowledge of all state and federal rules, laws, and regulations pertaining to the operation of Scioto Trails
- Know and assure implementation of all policies and procedures.
- Complete other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
- Assures compliance with emergency procedure requirements.
- Assists in maintaining a safe, clean, and attractive physical environment.
- Distribute and track DODD Health and Welfare alerts
- Distribute and track required trainings to meet DODD/ODH standards
- Distribute and track Annual training hours to meet standards
- Track all new hires for Driving incentives - within 60 days if hire DL with 5 points or less and valid insurance is turned in.
- Track all new hires for Medication Certification incentives - within 60 days of hire employee has completed necessary Medication Certification(s) to provide care to persons in the home.
- Track initial TB testing, distribute and track annual TB training for ICF and Day program employees
- Track and coordinate MANDT initial and annual refresher course
- Track all employee's Driver's License expirations
- Track all employee's vehicle insurance coverage
- Track and distribute non-driver's list
- Track and monitor vehicle renewal registrations in iCare and distribute information to managers as renewals arise
- Monitor Waiver Fire Marshal, and Life Safety inspections along with all correspondence that associate with the inspections. These inspections meet Life Safety, and Licensure requirements
- Maintain Disaster Kits in homes and vehicles - monitor quarterly in all ICF/Waiver/Day vehicles/locations
- Track all individuals Initial (within 30 days) and Annual Fire Safety and Emergency Response Training (ICF and Licensed Waiver homes)
- Track and distribute new hire orientation paperwork, including new staff mentorship and home specific training checklist
- Distribute and track Abuser Registry Annual Notice to all staff
- Complete Annual Abuser Registry verification online
- Maintain certification to teach training required for staff by DODD and ODH and/or the Advancing Abilities - Scioto Trails, including CPR, First Aid, and MANDT.
- In coordination with the Training Coordinator, track the scheduling and completion of customer service calls 30/60/90 days during all new employee's probationary period
- Complete weekly compliance monitoring of services in iCare and distribute information to managers
- Track monthly compliance monitoring of Drills in iCare and distribute information to managers
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Requirements:
- One year of experience in the field of developmental disabilities (Residential Services Waiver and/or ICF) that includes direct support, clinical support, program design and/or management. Prior experience providing services and support to individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Able to deal appropriately and effectively with individuals with Developmental Disabilities and employees.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency with working knowledge of Excel, Word, etc.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Capable of working responsibly with highly confidential information.
- A working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local regulations concerning services to individuals with mental retardation and/or other developmental disabilities.
