Through our state-of-the-art technology-enabled services, community wellness programs, and advocacy and education work, we are building a society in which emotional wellness can be a reality for everyone.Position Objective: The Compliance and Operations Manager (COM) is a newly created vital position that is responsible for the general operation of integral mechanisms for a well-functioning compliance department. The individual will be responsible for compliance-related management of policy and procedure, oversee the conduct of all investigations, and support large-scale compliance projects and business analysis to ensure the compliance departments' various workstream work are in accord.We are looking for a dynamic manager to join our Compliance department. In this role, you'll be in charge of leading the investigation management process to resolution, as well as ensuring that all compliance-related policies and procedures meet internal and external stakeholders' requirements while ensuring all staff have access to relevant documents. The Manager is responsible for investigating complex events that may include Providers, Representatives, Vendors, Employees, and Care/Help Seekers. They will also track, categorize, and analyze recurring incidents to identify trends to inform policy or quality improvement initiatives.Duties/Responsibilities:Investigation Management
  • Manage the internal systems to ensure all complaints, grievances, and incidents are intake, triaged, and tracked for contacts, inquiries, and allegations from internal and external sources
  • Support Compliance, People Operations, and other departments in the management of investigations.
  • Plans, organizes and conducts complete investigations into complaints of alleged incidents received via EthicsPoint
  • Conduct investigations of all parties associated with Vibrant Emotional Health which includes providers, employees, representatives, vendors, and help seekers as assigned
  • Collect, utilize, and interpret data obtained from a variety of platforms or resources, thereby identifying and documenting questionable patterns related to operation, and other practices which may merit further investigation.
  • Collaborating with the investigation team to ensure that all protocols are diligently followed.
Policy Management
  • Document and update internal compliance policies and protocols to align with agency operations and ensure effectiveness.
  • Ensure the department's policies and procedures are compliant with external regulators, such as the SAMHSA, DOHMH, OMH, OASAS, etc.
  • Maintaining version control of policies and procedures, including coordinating the production of documentation.
  • Provide compliance oversight of the management of Policy Tech; including tracking the review and updating of policies and procedures; ensuring the documentation is submitted to the approving committee timely;
  • Conducting analysis of staff compliance completing policy attestations as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Promotes awareness of care seekers' human rights issues and Vibrant's policies and procedures by educating staff, vendors, and others concerning reporting requirements relative to incidents of alleged abuse or compliance misconduct, as well as other critical incidents.
  • Collaborates with external vendors, oversight funders, or law enforcement officials, as deemed necessary.
  • Solid written communication skills, including drafting concise, detailed investigation reports conveying a logical, factual treatment of complex issues.
  • Record of utilizing analytical and critical thinking skills to question information, negotiate complicated situations, arrive at fact-based conclusions, and parse policy language effectively.
  • Easily adapt to new databases and systems such as NAVEX GRC, Policy Tech, and EthicsPoint

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree, Masters Preferred.
  • 3+ years working in the human services industry
  • 2+ years of experience in mental health or healthcare auditing
  • Fluency in the English language, both oral and written
  • Fluency in Spanish or another language is a plus.
  • Experience working in a crisis call center is highly favorable.
Physical and Sensory Requirements
  • Mostly sedentary work; using standard office equipment including a computer, keyboard, and telephone.

  • Remain calm and composed under stress.
  • Respond to telephones and other auditory stimulation.
  • Evaluate/interpret information and make independent judgments/decisions.
